About Torsborg
Deeply rooted in the Österlen soil
Torsborg Farm dates back to the mid-19th century. Here, small farmers supported themselves on a small piece of land until 1966. Then the farm became a holiday home for an engineering family from Stockholm. Since then, the farm has had several different owners, who have all made their mark. We can mention, for example, an famous Italian composer who made sure to bring here a sculpture by his good friend Maurizio Nazzaretto from Genoa. The Knight remains of course and welcomes our guests at the entrance.
In 2000, Torsborg was rebuilt into a B&B and in 2013 we took over the farm ourselves. We fell for the genuine charm and the unique location with views of the sea, Bornholm and the rolling landscape of Österlen. Seeing hundreds of seabirds take off from the sea at sunrise is just as fascinating every time! Almost addictive.
A short walk takes us to Bäckhalladalen nature reserve, one of Skåne's finest. Here we can walk in beautiful deciduous forest, listen to the nightingale and look at Böljeslag (petrified waves). By bike, it is easy to get around to Österlen's beautiful beaches or out into nature. We have the old Hansa town Simrishamn just below the hill, "the capital of Österlen" with its range of services, shops and restaurants.
We cannot imagine living anywhere else. Neither can our regulars, many of whom return year after year.
And of course we want our guests to enjoy Torsborg as well as we do! Feel the magic with Österlen. We are happy to recommend all our hidden gems; the most beautiful beaches, the most scenic walk, the best restaurant or the most cozy café. Choose the right one among the large selection of gardens, galleries, and farm shops.
We warmly invite you to stay with us and experience Österlen for yourself!
